We also welcome those who wish to train towards competitions. Our students’s goals and ambitions are our inspiration.
Jujitsu academy welcomes everyone regardless of age, gender, race, religion and physical ability.
We train in a friendly safe environment where egos are left outside the dojo.
Everyone is encouraged to “go at their own pace” and no one is forced to take part in any activity they do not feel fully comfortable with. You will find if you choose to get involved in our training everyone helps each other to progress. No one is above learning and a Dan grade can often take much from training with a total beginner, such is the way with jujitsu as it is a continual learning process.
You will not be tied in to any contract or direct debit payment scheme when you train with us. Our students train with us because they choose to and not because they have to. We do our best to ensure your training with us is enjoyable, rewarding and worth every penny.
Classes are conducted in a pay as you go basis and charged at £5 per session. Students may also choose to pay £30 a month by standing order, this allows you to train twice each week and therefore saving you £10+ each month.
We invite you to a free first lesson without obligation to try out our club.
We teach jujitsu with a modern edge and encourage our student to find their own techniques within the techniques.
Our enthusiastic team of instructors are also qualified and experienced in other martial arts disciplines. Gradings take place every 3-4 months and you will need a BCA licence to train with jujitsu academy, this is provided by us. You do not have to purchase a gi or licence until you are sure you want to continue training.
We also understand that as a beginner or someone who has not trained for a long time, you may well be a bit nervous or intimidated about coming to a martial arts club, you are not alone, but you will be pleasantly surprised by how easy it will be for you to fit in with the rest of the class at jujitsu academy. We are a group of like minded people who respect ourselves and one another and we are confident that you will find jujitsu academy very accommodating.
