Jujitsu academy Shrewsbury Shropshireis part of the British Combat Association ( BCA ) who are a great influence in the mixed martial arts, and martial arts in general this allows us greater flexability when it comes to teaching, With many federations you have to strictly stick to a syllabus of outdated unusable techniques, here at ju-jitsu academy we have no such restrictions, we have divised our own Ju-jitsu syllabus to allow for modern usable self defence techniques to be incorporated into our classes all tecniques have been checked thorougly and passed by the BCA's Peter Consterdine himself.

We dont have any restrictions on what we can cover in our self defence classes as the BCA allow you to teach a wide ranging diverse set of tequniques pulled from other martial arts, mixed martial arts , kick boxing, mauy thai and street combat methodologies.

Our instructors are second to none, both in their qualifications and ability to teach and also in the strength with which they uphold our ethos: to teach all people who are willing to learn regardless of age, gender , physical ability or religion.

Here at Jujitsu academy shropshire we believe strongly that our teaching motivates, builds confidence and encourages mutual respect, particularly in our younger students. The mother of Japanese martial arts, JuJitsu offers a tremendous range of activities to choose from and develop, thus the system offers the instructor the opportunity to choose and select his or her own personal requirements and those of the students.
Everyone has different needs and abilities, but with jujitsu there really is something for everyone.
You will be taught in a safe and encouraging atmosphere many techniques for throwing, punching, blocking, kicking and of course falling safely.

All our instructors are friendly and enthusiastic and always ready to encourage you to perform to your best ability. They are all fully qualified and each has an enhanced CRB. You will practice with other students, who are always ready to help and new techniques are only introduced as you develop your skills.
A structured grading system is employed to enable students to develop there skills and move towards their black belt.
